How do I set up StanceMate?

Can junior/small players use StanceMate?

Golf stance width for junior players

Absolutely. At its narrowest when fully set up, it is good for most players over 10 years old. The ball position should be changed slightly per the image below for anyone smaller than 20cm. If you are 24, use the middle of the B for the back of your ball. A golf coach would be best to advise the exact location for you, but a basic guide is...

Can left-handers use StanceMate?

Sure can. Simply turn the whole product around 180 degrees (so the logo is upside down) and then extend the smaller arms towards you. Pro tip: If you want the logo the right way up, feel free to swap the two smaller arms from side to side. If you leave us a note in the chekout process, we'll even change it for you :-)

How do I clean StanceMate?

You can wash StanceMate with water and normal dishwashing detergent and a soft cloth or brush. If the text seems dirty the best way to clean it is with a "plastic" pencil eraser.

Can I use SwingMate and StanceMate separately?

Yes. Each product works on its own. SwingMate is the movement trainer for swing plane, club-path tendency, hand path and rotation. StanceMate is the setup trainer for stance width and ball position. Choose Stryper Plus when you want both types of reference around the same ball position.

Which Stryper product do I need?

Choose SwingMate if the main job is swing movement. Choose StanceMate if the main job is repeatable setup. Choose Stryper Plus if you want both setup and movement references available in one practice station.

Do I need to be an experienced golfer to use Stryper products?

No. The products are designed around visible physical references rather than a required handicap or swing model. Start with one simple reference, follow the setup guidance and build from there.

Does Stryper replace golf lessons?

No. Stryper complements coaching by turning instructions into something visible and repeatable between lessons. It can also be used alongside video, launch-monitor data or ordinary ball flight.

What is a physical golf reference?

It is a visible point, line, boundary, gate or checkpoint that stays where you set it while you practise. Instead of relying only on a swing thought, you have something physical to compare the movement or setup against.

Can Stryper fix every bad golf shot?

No. A slice, hook, shank, fat shot or thin shot can have more than one cause. Stryper is most useful when the cause relates to the variables it can make visible or measurable: stance width, ball position, swing plane, club-path tendency, hand path and rotation.

Can I practise indoors or on a simulator mat?

Yes, where you have suitable space and clearance. Stryper can be used in indoor practice environments including simulator bays, mats and synthetic turf.

Are instructions included?

Yes. Products include basic printed guidance, with more detailed setup instructions, videos and drills available online.

What does StanceMate measure?

StanceMate is used to make stance width and ball position visible and repeatable. Start from the documented framework, then fine-tune the setting based on your body, club and actual shot results.
